Five Guys!

The strip shopping mall that once was the busiest in town, housing Blockbuster, CVS, and Tuscan Oven, the trifecta of anyone’s weekend, went dark pretty much. When Blockbuster folded and CVS moved across the street, the rest of the businesses struggled and or closed. Sears Appliance tried it here for a while and went belly up.

Today, dropping off at FedEx, I see a Five Guys is moving IN. I understand the attraction to the space- a traffic light into the strip mall and plenty of free parking.

It looks like a huge space, an upstairs as well as the construction is an addition up.

I wonder how Westchester Burger right across the street is taking the news. I bet not well. Only time will tell if his business will be hurt with the arrival of Five Guys.

Enough with burger saturation here…..what we really need here is a Chick-Fil-A… bigly.

    1. by the way, here’s hipster douchebag Alex Soros at some spirit cooking cook-out (I think they’re getting ready to tenderize the meat)

      1. OMG OMG OMG, that Alex Soros photo is hysterical. The girl is woefully skinny to the point of being scary skinny. Side Boob showing, no matter how young you are, is never a good thing. But Alex is rockin’ that white suit. And red TOMs?!!

    2. It’s awfully hard to top Shake Shack. I think they are the best, hands down. Not to dismiss In-N-Out mind you, or FatBurger even, but Shake Shake gets it all right. I’ve had Five Guys but not recently, so I have no way of knowing if they will be meh enough that traveling the distance to CT for Shake Shake will still be in my plans.

      1. i’m willing to give SS a try… i think i’ve said before that the fries at In-N-Out don’t really do it for me.

that probably isn’t his steady chick – she’d know better than to wear those shoes that make little Alex look shorter than he already is.

        1. I’m trying to figure out what is going on in the background of the photo. A woman on a plank. People in the way back all in white, who look like servers for the event. Bizzaro. Call me jaded, but I bet women who date Alex don’t care how tall he is as long as he’s paying.

    1. Yes re BareBurger and that’s what I meant about burger saturation around here. I mean McDonalds, Burger King, etc etc. I predict Five Guys will do well tho, for the lunch crowd.

  1. Have you tried Burgers, Shakes and Fries? Greenwich (Byram) and Darien. The absolute best burgers in my opinion, without even a close second.
As for Five Guys. Yuck. Really yuck. And I’m not a picky eater at all.

    1. Never heard of Burgers Shakes & Fries. What I think I need to do is close up EOSredux and start a blog in search of the nations best burger and fries.
