Match the quotes to the President. Your time starts now. No fair cheating by looking them up.

FYI: There’s NO WAY I’d get any of these right, except maybe one, so please don’t think I’m posting this from some high history knowledge ground. Just having fun.

  1. I’m going to guess that GW said #6, like sheep to the slaughter. And another wild guess, that Madison = #5, matters of style. His portrait is all about the stylin!

    1. JANE! Two for two. Were those really guesses? Not that I’m doubting you, but honestly, I think they are rally hard quotes to president matches. Like who knows a thing about Zachary Taylor, let alone know his quote? Brava.

      1. 100% guess. I didn’t have a clue. Didn’t you tell us a while back you could spout of the names of the presidents in rapid succession. Can you still?

        1. Not without making a few mistakes. I’m fine until Pierce, then I forget Buchanan and I’m not good once it’s the Wilson Harding Coolidge line-up. Of course, in 5th grade when I had these memorized, Eisenhower was president so I didn’t have as many to remember! 🙂

  2. I;m out. I couldn’t name the photos of the presidents without their caption. No way could I match the quotes. Had you put in “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor”, I could have gotten at least one right.

    1. Nope. Not a one.
      1. Filmore
      2. Z. Taylor
      3. Harrison
      4. John Quincy Adams
      5. Thomas Jefferson
      6. George Washington
      7. James Madison

    1. I love presidential history and the History Channel (I think, or maybe it is the Smithsonian Channel) has been running profiles of many presidents, without an agenda. Very interesting. I didn’t remember it was Taylor who was Rough and Ready.

Wonder what Obama’s nickname would be?! 🙂
