Good Morning 2018

Stunning sunrise. Calm seas. Let’s hope these are metaphors for the upcoming year.

We toasted friends and family at midnight with a bottle of champagne we brought aboard then fell into a deep sleep.

I wouldn’t call the QM2 New Years Eve party raucous but we did enjoy, met some Aussies who regaled us with their travel stories, and danced nowhere near a couple who yesterday called Trump a few choice words.

We look to be east of Miami on our position map, 25 degrees. Wind northwesterly. We’re headed about due north.

Not ready for coffee yet but did want to check in and be the first to wish you all a great healthy happy and prosperous 2018!

UPDATE. For some unknown reason I can’t access any part of the blog. Even trying to update this post hasn’t worked several times. Let’s see if I can get this out there. I can’t get to the comments. This morning it refused to publish three or four times, saying this….

Grrrr. Sorry.
