Hearing this made me sick

Jurors found Jose Ines Garcia Zarate not guilty in the murder trial of Kate Steinle, who was shot to death on Pier 14 in San Francisco in July 2015.

And what’s more sick are all the governors and senators who want sanctuary cities. Mount Kisco right here is one.

I can’t imagine the pain Steinle’s family is feeling. I’m heartbroken for them.

UPDATE: NBC would have us believe Jose is the victim. Look at this disgusting headline.

    1. I think the worst aspect of the whole case is that this guy is a serial criminal and serial deporteé who keeps crawling his way back. The immigration system is broken.

        1. Who paid for Jose’s attorney? Someone stepped up to foot a huge bill. The lawyer was no third stringer. I presume the bill was footed by some anti-immigration group?

    1. When I spoke to her in the afternoon, she was dashing out and the earthquake hadn’t occurred. I speak with her every morning at 7:30 so I’ll know the answer soon and will post an update.

UPDATE: She not only didn’t feel the earthquake, she, and none of her dining partners last night knew it even occurred. Mom learned of earthquake reading this mornings paper.

  1. As Shellbelle said, something good might come from this…… the end of funding for “Sanctuary Cities!” Call them “Outlaw Cities” as was suggested this morning!

    1. The whole idea of a Sanctuary City is crazy. Protecting illegals as if they had rights as citizens. I bet the weenie RINOs like McCain and Flake, who have tons of illegals in Arizona, would never vote to defund sanctuary cities. Never.

  2. The scum will be deported.i say before he goes install a chip in him so he can be tracked, because he’ll come back again and again.

    1. Here’s my problem with the DOJ taking action. They’d have the have done airtight case that couldn’t be refuted by a jury of illegal sympathizers. And why didn’t the DOJ take action right away, usurp the state charges, go right for the conviction??

      1. Why? Because the murder occurred in July, 2015 while Dog Breath Obozo was in office. He would likely never let his DOJ take action against sanctuary cities or illegal felon immigrants.

  3. The lamestream media has already moved on from Steinle’s verdict because Michael Flynn plead guilty to the Feds today. That’s red meat to CNN and MSNBC. your thoughts?

    1. Rule number one: never speak to the Feds. I think the charges aren’t scandalous. One count of lying. I’m glad Flynn plead out though, get it over with.
Anyone remember how many counts Martha Stewart had for lying to the Feds when she went to jail?
Newsweek has already tweeted that Trump and Kushner are next to be indicted.

      1. Likely but not if the foaming-at-the-mouth media has their way. I love how the Patriot Retort uses “ResistanceLOL*” in their copy. I may have to steal that. (In cutting and pasting, I lost the font of LOL, which in the link is like TM is, small and raised. Funny).

NBC has declared as definitive that Jared Kushner is the “high ranking senior official”. I hear they are moving back to NYC soon. I never thought Jared was much of as asset to Trump. Did you?

  4. I think there’s a good chance Flynn will sing. Mueller surely made a deal with Flynn for lesser charges if Flynn takes down Trump. Not a good day at Blackrock.

  5. Comment by Trump’s attorney

JUST IN: “Nothing about the guilty plea or the charge implicates anyone other than Mr. Flynn,” Trump attorney Ty Cobb says.

    1. Welllllllll, I suspect Trump’s lawyer would kinda have to say that.

ABC is taking the lead, Brian Ross specifically, that Flynn is about to rat out Trump and others.

  6. I don’t tweet or know how to post a photo but ABC just had a screenshot on TV of a James Comey tweet. A biblical quote but snark about the seas parting or some crap.

  7. I really don’t understand the not guilty on the manslaughter count. If I’m a drunk driver and kill someone in an accident, I didn’t mean to kill them but I acted in a reckless way that resulted in someone’s death. And I get convicted of manslaughter. How is discharging a firearm in a crowded area, even if the bullet bounces off the pavement, not equally reckless? I do think this is another OJ like verdict.

    1. Agree. Some are saying State didn’t charge Jose correctly, that the jury had little choice but to acquit him. I’m not a lawyer so I don’t know. But I’m with you. Reckless. Manslaughter.

  8. Its a no brainer. The prosecution threw the case from the beginning. They charged felony murder one and two, when in fact it should have been a home run involuntary manslaughter charge.
