Mel Brooks said in a BBC radio interview recently…
We have become stupidly politically correct, which is the death of comedy.
It’s not good for comedy,” he added. “Comedy has to walk a thin line, take risks. Comedy is the lecherous little elf whispering in the king’s ear, always telling the truth about human behavior.
My favorite Mel Brooks movie, hands down, no argument, is High Anxiety from the
Psycho-Neurotic Institute for the Very, Very Nervous.
I suspect most others would say Blazing Saddles would be tops on their list. That is genius. The Producers. I’m lazy blogging today from outside, getting YOU all do do the work by adding your favorite Mel Brooks film. Thanks in advance for making my day easier! 🙂
