Good Ole Tennessee Sittin’ Whisky

Don’t go callin’ it moonshine. It ain’t but it is homemade, in a still that’s been brewin’ good stuff for over four generations in Putnam County Tennessee. This one is apple pie sittin’ whisky, if you can get past the burn in your throat when the whisky goes down to get the taste of apple pie. I did not. Especially not at 10am. It’ll definitely cure what ails ya, however.

And right now, as a long-standing member of the GOP watching McCain sabotage the healthcare, I might need more than a sip of this homemade whisky! I was in Hanoi, visited the Hanoi Hilton where McCain was held POW, saw the tiny room he was for years but now, as much as I hate to say this out-loud, I think McCain has become the traitor. Harsh words, I know, and I’m not sure how much of it I mean versus just how angry I am at the RINO faction of the GOP undermining the Trump plan. The tax bill seems doomed too, after listening to Ryan this morning interviewed by Maria Bartiromo.

Pass the whisky, I fear it’s going to be a long four years!

    1. Funny. Parts of TN are probably Deliverance-like, but the friends our son visited are just regular old good folk. Ya know, who like to shoot and swim and hang out on the porch.

  1. The Dems are getting whiplash – one day they want McCain dead the next they love him. I think letting the Dems own the ObamaCare failure is a good thing.

    1. I’m reading now that a bipartisan group is meeting on the Hill to “stabilize” Obamacare. I suspect because the GOP is useless, Obamacare will remain the law of the land. The only good news is Hillary lost and for now we won’t have a single payer.

      1. Schumer has two goals – to trip up any Trump bill and to keep the Obama legacy healthcare alive.

  2. It’s not only McCain who is a traitor to his party, it’s ALL the GOP who campaigned on repeal and replace when Obama was president and now rolled back that promise. As I heard someone else explain, when Obama was president, they felt they could vote repeal and replace without any skin off their back because it wasn’t going to pass and Obama would veto it anyway. Now, they see their vote and their voice counts. They are all smarmy.
