Fact: I will never drink another ginger beer again in my life.

Ya know how when you were a teen and got drunk for the first time on a particular liquor and could never look at it again? Well, that’s how I feel right about now with the Ginger Beer Tasting.

We tasted Ginger Beer with Rum. Ginger beer with Vodka. Ginger Beer with Ginger Beer. With lemon. With Limes. Some are sad. And some are glad. And some are very, very bad.

We had so much ginger beer in the house we had to rearrange the entire soda shelving area in the pantry.

Yes, the Fever Tree arrived, magnificently triple boxed, ready to be consumed.

Bottom line, for me, Maine Root is still the hands-down victor in the Great Ginger Beer Tasting Test. Not only hands down, but leaps and bounds ahead of the rest. With Rum. With Vodka and stand-alone. Just the right amount of peppery taste but not so much that it overwhelms the drink. Fever Tree was good, but it didn’t have enough oomph for me.

So the winner is…………

Will someone make me a scotch and water please? Thanks

    1. There aren’t that many leftovers (except the Fever Tree). FT was the only product that I bought in abundance (because that was the only option on Amazon). Other ginger beers we bought in a four-pack and some just a couple of, when they were sold individually. I threw out the extras of the ginger beers that were undrinkable (Bottoms Up and Stoli) – otherwise, the tasters decided they HAD to try just one more!! 🙂

  1. I stand by my Fever Tree recommendation. It’s peppery (like you want) but doesn’t consume the drink’s rum or vodka.
