Throwback Thursday: Open That Awning Lady and I’ll Poop on Your Head

[From May 2012…………..]

By sheer happenstance I looked UP before opening the awning over the living room because I thought I heard chirping. Lo and behold, mom, staring down at me with beady eyes, and lots of babies. I couldn’t see how many and can’t get high enough or over the awning to see the babies, but suffice it to say I have removed the remote awning control from the room until the babies fly away.

Phew, that was close.

  1. Hi,
Wow, lucky you looked up. It is a very good though you have to admit, well sheltered and hard for another animal to invade, yes a very good spot. 🙂

  2. It’s that time of year for new life, EOSr. The older I get, the more I become aware of the forces. I think that’s the way it’s supposed to work and I like it.

    1. Michigan: Very well said. Coincidentally, last night at a neighborhood party, a couple of us were talking about how few birds nests are around this spring, or that we’ve seen. I don’t know if it’s because we have so many crows and hawks here but the nesting is remarkable in it’s absence – so I am doubly thrilled I did not harm this family.

      1. Yes, I’ve been around here since the beginning, changing my name often to stay one step ahead of the law.

I know you said Mags stopped blogging but what happened to Michigan?

        1. I lost Michigan as a commenter when I took a long blog break. He was a fabulous addition to the lineup and sorely missed. I don’t know what he’s up to today.

  3. I clicked Mags name and her website is still up, although the last post was in January 2014. She was a devoted commenter.

There was Bronx Boy too and someone from California named Rosie who had a blog. You need an EOS special on OWN TV – Bloggers, Where are they now?

    1. So are you Original Betty? At one point I had three Betty commenters. Not sure which one you are. There was one who called herself Betty Too, I think.

      1. I’m not Original Betty. I came after her but I don’t remember calling myself Betty Too.

  4. Maggie from Oregon. Is that MagsX2? I enjoyed her contibutions and her good nature. If it’s the same something fat happened Maggie, perhaps she could bring us up to date.
On the other blog I read, a midwestern bridge player hasn’t been around lately. Miss her, too.
Too hot for me today. House remained pretty comfortable. It’s breezy now and the porch is delightful. I hope open windows and the ceiling fan will be fine for sleeping tonight.

    1. Maggie is not Magx2. Correct that Maggie is from Portland – her blog still active but she posts like once or twice a year since her daughter was in a serious car accident.

Magsx2 was from Brisbane or Melbourne. She stopped when her father got ill and she was the primary caregiver.

Peg disappeared from all blog sites so busy with bridge, real estate, and caring for her parents in Florida.

Close to 90 again today. The good news is I have all my laundry drying outside on the line.
