Permit schmermit. And oh yes, the FBI reopens the case against Hillary.

Aaah, gotta love those Wacky Lovable Clinton’s. Hills and Bill bought the house next door to them in Chappaqua earlier this month and decided, hey, what the heck, we got the cash, we can call any builder to show up, let’s do some major renovations and let’s not bother with getting a permit. C’mon, permits are only for the little people.

Then uh oh, someone called the Town to inquire about the construction noise. Ha ha Ha Ha.

The new purchase on the right, #33. The gated manse is on the left, also illegal is the height of the fence, duly noted in the infraction document linked below

That the Clinton’s thought (worse, their contractor) that filling a pool didn’t require a permit makes you wonder how much they paid the contractor to keep the work quiet.

From the story in the local paper, The Journal News:

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton have been renovating a house they bought next to their Chappaqua residence without several required local permits, according to building department records.

An in-ground swimming pool at 33 Old House Lane — the 3,631-square-foot, ranch-style house the Clintons bought for $1.16 million in August — had been back-filled and covered with gravel, according to an October report from town Building Inspector William Maskiell.

Maskiell, who wrote that he visited the Clintons’ home the day after receiving a complaint around Oct. 5, said as he headed to the basement to talk to the contractor, he noticed the kitchen, floors and walls appeared to have been recently renovated and new electrical fixtures were being installed in the ceiling. The person who complained was not identified.

Maskiell said he told the contractor that permits were required.

“During conversation I was told that the owners wanted to have all work done and finished by Thanksgiving and were quite adamant about it and what had started as a paint job turned into this,” Maskiell’s Oct. 17 inspection report said.

A Clinton spokesperson did not immediately return requests for comment.

Quite adamant about it. Ha ha ha. I don’t believe for a second that it started as a paint job. No way and if the Town falls for that lie, they are pathetic.

The Town Building Inspector filed the Violations document but note, there is no cease and desist order, merely a statement of violations and fines. Do you know how fast I would have had a red sticker on my door had I been in violation like this? Before you could say Jack Rabbit.

It’s unconscionable that the Clinton’s feel they can do anything they want. Just remember this when you go to vote – if she doesn’t care about the little people in her everyday dealings, why would she care about us after she is President?????

The only excuse Hillary might have is that she’s been too busy but what does Bill do all day – he could have filed the permit papers!

Of course, all this renovation could be for naught if the Breaking news of the day is right and justice might be served after all: FBI is reviewing new evidence in Clinton’s server case tied to fresh emails and is said to be reopening the case.

Yes please. Yes please. Yes please.

  1. I am glued to the TV, a box of Kleenex in one hand, swigging DayQuil and seeing the breaking news about the FBI. I hope you read the WSJ – the comments are piling up so fast the page can’t refresh. NYT has an article with no comments. Duh. The funniest comment (so far) in the WSJ article is this:

I guess the check from the Clinton’s to Comey bounced.

  2. Doesn’t matter what the FBI does. It’s the DOJ who brings the charges. Lynch just took the 5th with regard to money transfer to Iran so you think she’ll take any case against Hillary? Hardly. I just hope Trump doesn’t get all wild about this because I am sure the Clinton’s are not done with their own surprises for Donald.

  3. It’s an attempt to take the emails off the front page, will be slow-walked until after the election, no intent will be found.

    1. I’m reading a lot of similar commentary on other blogs AC – that this is a ploy, a Clinton started ruse. Others have said it’s because FBI agents were about to come out. Who knows.

      1. Re the FBI agents coming out, several pundits see that asa very plausible scenario.

        Radio host Bill Mitchell says:

I think blaming this on Weiner is just cover. There was a revolt inside the FBI and they wanted case re-opened. Comey just blamed Weiner.

  4. From Judy Woodruff:
clarifying: FBI says it is reviewing new emails that emerged from an unrelated case. They are not “re-opening” the investigation.

I think this is nothing now and will be nothing later Amen.

  5. Um, don’t they have “people” to do menial things like get permits? It’s crazy how they blatantly flaunt their disdain for the law.

What is your “feel” for things? Can trump make it? I’ve seen (veritas! That good trump commercial) and read some things (Michael Moore, Dilbert author, etc) that make me think he is going to win. Granted, I live in a bit of a curated bubble.

I’m still trying to convince my husband to vote for Trump, though I’ll spare you the details there!😳😀 glad you’re feeling better🍷

    1. I’ve decided, for my personal mental health quotient, to stay pessimistic re Trump winning. That way if he does pull it out, I’ll be overjoyed. If he loses I won’t be devastated. Well, I’ll be devastated, but not to the point of mania. Does that make sense.

I worry that today’s news will give permission to Trump to dance in the streets or overplay his hand. Never good to gloat when there are so many unknowns.

      1. Totally makes sense. I’m still trying to get over Mitt losing. There is my plan….and then there is Gods plan, which is always infinitely superior and perfect, even if it seems to be painful to me (teaches a necessary lesson).

    1. We haven’t even decided what to do for Thanksgiving. We will all be together the weekend before for my mother’s birthday. We gather for Christmas and tend not to do much at Thanksgiving. But if I do cook, I will post recipe ideas.

  6. Huma is going to be the one to bring Hillary down and Trump called it back in July when he said he didn’t like Huma going home and telling Anthony secrets. Seems the FBI found their info on a devise either owned by Huma or Anthony. #draintheswamp

  7. I felt like stirring the pot so I sent a link to the Journal News story via email to the news manager at Fox News. Who knows if they’ll care…

      1. Oops. Drat. Good idea tho. The story has made it out of the local loop to a regional one but not national. Guess no permits is less news than the FBI and Anthony Weiner.

  8. Not to be schoolmarmish, but it’s the “Clintons” for plural. Not “the Clinton’s” …..
    (Glad you’re rolling again!)

    1. I’m going to get plural and apostrophe tutoring from Martha sitting in on her children’s grammar class. I used to think I was a grammar guru until lately when all I seem to do is make mistakes with the plurals of people. Thanks.

  9. but what does Bill do all day [?]

C’MON, you know very well what he does all day long, and I bet he’s dreading the prospect of a Trump presidency.

    1. Actually I think he’d dread the Hillary win more because he’d have to be held accountable for his whereabouts all the time!!! No sneaking off to Motel 6 in Bridgeport.
