Merry Christmas

From our home to yours, wishing everyone joy, love of family and friends, and peace on Earth.

The leg of lamb is marinating. Paella is tonight. We had brioche french toast this morning (yum) and the table is about to get set festively.

I’d like to take a minute and thank all of you for joining me on my 2015 blog journeys. I don’t take any of you for granted and I am always honored when you stop by – commenting or lurking.

Merry Merry Christmas.

  1. Merry Christmas to you as well. I’m knee-deep in Brits this holiday. My husbands entire family has flown over to join us. Meanwhile I’m frantically trying to make a respectable figgy pudding for them.

    Love and peace

  2. Merry Christmas! Thanks for having a blog that’s easy to stop by for and relatively painless when it comes to commenting or lurking.

In case you get bored, a little interactive holiday video (spoiler: the little guy on the left is never a bad choice):

    1. That was pee-in-your-pants kind of funny. I’d love to meet the genius behind that creation.

chris, lower case c, thanks for being The Link King, the Chief Sleuther, and all around great commenter. I’m delighted you have joined our merry band of misfits.

  3. Enjoy all your Holidays. Have a very Merry Christmas, to your family and the readers. Keep those posts coming in 2016.

  4. Merry Christmas from Miami, where its not as warm as it is in New York! Go figure. Keep up the blogging for 2016.

    1. It’s yuckily warm here today. It doesn’t compute that I have windows and doors open. I don’t like it one bit except it will keep the oil delivery man away for a week or so.
Merry Christmas to you Peter and thanks for being such a faithful contributor!

  5. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Both mine are home, the youngest in from South Africa!
Thank you for your blog, I enjoy it every morning :).

    1. You are one of the earliest participants of this funky little blog. Thanks for that and hands down you win the “who traveled the farthest” award. South Africa is a hoof. Lucky you!!!!
      Merry Merry!

  6. Merry Christmas all the way from California. I’m back out here again to be with the grandchildren. They are who it’s about for me.

EOS, you’ve got a great gift of the gab and I look forward to reading your insightful snark all through 2016.

    1. Jane. That’s twice in two months that you’ve gone to California. Time to sell the manse in Greenwich and make yourself a full time Cali Gal?
      Enjoy the wee ones!!

    1. Merry Sunny Christmas Cos. And a huge thank you for taking and sending me so many great photos to post. I’m woefully behind in collating and posting them. That’s a good way to start 2016.

    1. Back to you both, dear friends!!! Hope Santa is good to everyone.

The Christmas china is by Gien, a French company. The pattern is called Le Houx. I started buying pieces of it in the 1980s. I love it too.

  7. It’s always fun to drop by EOSland, a tad more intriguing this autumn when Walt aka Anonymous spoke his mind. He is the spice of life.

My kids are anxiously awaiting Santa’s arrival, the younger one worried Santa has so many places to go, he won’t get here. I assured her Santa had enough helpers to get everywhere.

    Merry Christmas to all.

    1. That Anonymous is pretty darn funny. He indeed kicked EOS up a notch. Or brought it down, depending on your understanding of the meaning of funny. I’m a WaltBeliever, which is not to be confused with a BeiberBeliever.

  8. Thanks for all the joy your blog brings throughout the year. That tree looks terrific, decorated the way a Christmas tree should be. And, it does fit the new library after all.

Enjoy the paella tonight and the lamb tomorrow. May the spirit of Chritsmas hang around for a good, long while.

Downright springlike here along the east facing coast. Wasn’t particularly muggy once the morning fog burned off. High temperature records broken all over New England. We had enough snow last winter that I’m grateful for a green Christmas this time around.

    Merry Christmas, everyone.

    1. Here’s to a winter without your Miata being buried in snow!!

Thanks for being such a loyal reader Swanton. It’s a real pleasure having you here.

  9. Yep, Christmas morning and here I am visiting you.
    Better than any TV offering.
Thanks for providing a wholesome honest slice of life

  10. Merry Christmas from Northern Idaho. It has snowed off and on all week so now have about 2′ of snow. I’m spending the day with neighbors since son unable to be here because of bad road conditions across Washington pass which was closed all day yesterday. Have a great day.

    1. Two FEET???? Oh my goodness, that is a white Christmas. We were practically in short sleeves yesterday. Sorry your son couldn’t make it but I’ve heard from others that that pass is often closed. Happy 2016 to the whole Idaho family.
