Reason Enough to Stay Until the 31st!

Got to Pinehurst early today, early enough to walk through the drop dead gorgeous village and see the Tufts Archive, per suggestion of Cos Harbour. We had a long chat with the couple who run the visitors center and another long talk with a woman who volunteers in the Archive. Everyone is just so darn nice.

We’re only in Pinehurst one night and tomorrow plan to spend most of the day in Southern Pines before going to Chapel Hill.

That’s a roundabout way of saying I’m not going to post photos of here until tomorrow night.

It’s early enough yet that we’re headed back out to annoy locals as we slowly slowly drive around.

Totally off topic,  I had MSNBC on the car radio and I’m SURE I recognized Brian Williams voice. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Ha ha ha ha.

  1. Southern Pines is one of the most special towns on the planet. Lucky you to be there to enjoy. Be SURE to wait for a train to go through. Choo-Chooooo.

  2. I’m so glad you are spending time in NC, a state I’ve long wanted to visit. I now know I don’t want to go to Charlotte, the mountains are gorgeous, Pinehurst could make me reconsider playing golf and people are sooooo very polite. And, BBQ. Most of all, BBQ. I’d go just for that.

    1. I’m so glad we’re spending time in NC too. Pinehurst is the first town so far I see owning a home. One gorgeous house that is on the grounds of CCNC is perfect, and get this, property taxes are $5814 YEAR!!!!! For a $1.5m house that is stunning in every way. Where do I sign.
