Pepe and Tony, two bluenose dolphins, were performing today for a trio of paying suckers tourists…and perform they did. We happened upon them at the very end of their really big shoe…..

My ta-da money photo of the vacation…………………….

All this vacation time has really increased your “word play captions” Didn’t you and the Mr. go for a swin with the dolphins? Great ta da money photo, it could be the cover for “swimming into the new year in 2014…”(the calendar) We’re still trying to guess which vacation location you are at???
Great pictures, EOSr! I especially like the one of the dolphin being levitated. I’ve only had the opportunity to interact with dolphins on one occasion. They’re bigger and heavier than you think and I was quite surprised when I touched it how rough they are. I expected smooth skin and it was like holding onto fine grit sandpaper. Very fun!
HaHa, I am pretty sure I know where Mr & Mrs EOS are but won’t divulge the location. All they need is for all of us to show up for cocktails and dinner on their dime. But, wouldn’t that be a hoot!
Terrific picture of the airborne dolphin. Lot of rocks in the background….
SB: We didn’t take the plunge with the dolphins – the kids have each done it at one time or another – we’re happy to live vicariously through them. Mr. EOS gets the nod for the “word play captions.” He always tells me that’s his specialty – and he’s right.
Michigan: What I was hoping to capture in photo was the tail dance the dolphins do at the end of their performance. And a few double twists in the air. We had walked away from the lagoon at that point, only to hear people behind us go ooooohhhh. Too late.
We were in Clearwater Florida a couple of winters back and got to get up close and touch dolphins in their marina. Like you, I was surprised at their less than smooth skin.
Swanton: A couple of people have guessed our location right. Nothing would make us happier than to have you all show up. And on our nickel too. Airplanes were landing every 5 minutes today so LOTS of people coming to enjoy the sunshine.
What a superb last shot….
Seeing a seemingly smiling flying mammal bifurcating the horizon, etc. made my day.
Porps are the new peeps!
(Though Tony/Pepe are actually dolphins, not porpoises).
Flying Flipper! Great photo, EOS!
