EOS-Weekend Says Venerdì Felice da Italia
February 1, 2013
Grazie di CosHarbour, foto dal villaggio di Oleggio.
Oleggio is in the province of Piedmont, about 90 km northeast of Turin. Hopefully CosHarbour will pop back in and comment about the town, why he was there. And more importantly, tell us when he is going to invite us to visit him!!
Bellissima. Molte grazie.
UPDATE: I just noticed that when CH sent me the photos, he actually named them. I am adding his words forthwith.
Peeps
(a reference to his oft-commented advice to us when traveling to add people in our photos!)

All I can think about is the food and wine he’s enjoying.
Yes, that too.
I’m baffled by the Ramada sign. Is it backwards? Looks like the frame is on the backside of the letters and so too the red circle on the left. In Italy, is the hotel named Adamar?
Great photos Cos. I don’t know Piedmont much but it sure looks well worth a visit. What time of year were these taken?
Ciao Bella!
Shots are from around Oleggio, some September, between Milano and Como.
God’s county for sure. The gardens, flowers, vegetables, peeps, and air are sublime there, and only church bells mark the time. I have pix of the plein air fruit/vegetable market that might melt your heart.
It’s pristine, and somehow removed from our world. (GO FOXES!)
Landed in Milano via AirtItalia, after flight Dubai to Milano, and FC flight to NYC was CX’D. Horrors!
Before that flying on scary Pakastani Air (Seat 1A) Lahore to Dubai, they only take cash!
In between a wonderful stay for the third time at the Emirates Towers Hotel.
Of course I was working hard!
AirItalia put me up for a night in Oleggio, and then I extended my stay a few days at my expense, feigning illness for flying, though I never felt better!
Mr F and I had a marvelous vacation in Piedmonte a few years ago. Love Turin. Love the whole area. Great pix.
