I Need To Get Out More
The Times Square puzzle is finished, with some able assistance from the youngest child of the EOS clan when she spent the night last week and I asked cajoled begged bribed her for some help.
At first I thought I was missing some pieces, the edges didn’t fit, but realized the edges were only out of sync, two pieces in places they didn’t really belong.
Lots of blue in this puzzle: dark blue and bright blue and blue black – and equal amounts of red – almost patriotic on this the weekend of a second inaugural. In case you didn’t know, I’m scheduled to be on Oprah tonight, a tell-all of why I don’t plan to watch said inaugural!
Speaking with my mom every morning as I do, she happily shares her busy and full daily schedule with me – exercise at 8; water the plants at the healthcare; bridge and lunch at the club, a lecture at 4pm, dinner with friends at 6.
Then, gulp, she asks what I have planned for the day. Um, finish the puzzle!?

EOSR, your mom does (and always has) made the rest of us look like we are treading water (except maybe MY mom, who was her comrade in arms in the exercise & discipline department) … and I love your puzzle story! We Londergans are maniac jigsaw puzzlers so I totally appreciate the obsession. Lovely to hear you’re kicking back a little after the holidays — I’ve been SO lazy!! It’s lovely but probably time to get back in gear — like your mom!!!
Betty: I think you deserve a little lazy time after a year of seeing the world for Heifer. Don’t forget to let us know when you have a plan for 2013.
I did not know you are all maniac puzzlers – they are so good for the brain cells, like crosswords. Next up, Dories of Maine.
Aww, come on… You are always on the go, getting “projects done”, fighting the good fight, researching a new location, exploring an historical place, etc, etc. YOU are one of the most activite people with many inquisitive pursuits. Who ya kiddin…”need to get out more”…humprh!
Add me to the non-viewers of the inauguration. I don’t want to change the tone of this post from Puzzles to Politics, so I’ll gently segue and say it’s Puzzling how many people have fallen for the Obama malarkey. He’s changed the entire platform of the USA, what it stands for, what it means going forward, what he wants as his legacy (hint, Mount Rushmore). Don’t even get me started on his rush to gun laws.
By the way, we’ve done that Dories of Maine puzzle. It’s far harder than it looks. Good job on the Times Square one.
SB: Take what I do and quintuple it….that’s my mother’s day. Add to it that she doesn’t miss a political beat and all of a sudden I feel like a slacker. But thanks for your vote of confidence!!
After spending the day with your mom and not being able to keep up, she puts us all to shame. What an amazing woman!
Nice work, it looks great! I guess you’re ready to advance to the five thousand piece challenge. Maybe you can get Mr. EOSr on board too but he could start with one of these just to get up to speed:

Where did you ever find the Kubota puzzle link?????? Fabulous. Thanks.
